covid 19/sanitation

Client safety is my top priority.

As of February, I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and can show clients my vaccination card, upon request. Most of my team members are vaccinated as well, but clients are welcome to request vaccinated team members only.

All team members wear masks while with clients, and COVID test 1-2 days before the event.

As a licensed esthetician, not much changed about my makeup sanitation procedures once beauty services reopened in NYS. The primary change is the addition of face masks. All team members follow the same sanitation and safety guidelines.

A bit about my sanitation process:

  • all pressed pigments and powders are sanitized using 70% isopropyl alcohol before and after each client

  • lipliners/eyeliners are sanitized with 70% isopropyl alcohol, sharpened, and sanitized again between clients

  • all liquid or cream products are applied to a single use, disposable paper palette and then to the client using a brush

  • all mascaras or liquid/gel liners are applied using single use, disposable applicators

  • all lipsticks and glosses are scraped or applied to a paper palette before being applied to the clients lips

  • absolutely no liquid, cream, gel, or product unable to be sanitized is double dipped

  • there are separate brush sets for each client serviced so that there is no washing brushes between clients

  • all artists/assistants wear face-masks

  • at the request of the client/venue, all artists can be tested for COVID before servicing the event

If you’ve any questions or concerns about our sanitation or COVID procedures, please feel free to contact me so that I can discuss things with you more in depth.

What about covid19 cancellations?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like COVID is going away any time soon, but we do know about it and can plan for it. COVID cancellations are subject to our regular cancellation policy; forfeit of the 50% retainer and, depending on date of cancellation (if its within 30 days of the event), the final payment is due, regardless of wedding party size/restrictions/etc. However, if the state mandates no weddings or no makeup services be performed, then clients get 1 postponement/reschedule for their services, penalty free, or she can cancel her services and use the initial payment for other services/events when makeup is permitted.
